Just got the call on Friday from the local newspaper that I was hired for their graphic artist position. So I finally got my career job! I no longer have to work retail!
The job is more technical than art related, but this is a starter job and will be a stepping stone to bigger and greater jobs in the future I hope. C:
I start the new job on the 18th.

Oh man I've been so super busy with college. :work: You have no idea. For the past 4 months I've been perfecting 10 projects for my portfolio class. I also had to put my portfolio book together, create a promotional piece and have a completed working website. This is all graphic design mind you. Everything was pretty involved.
Last Friday was our portfolio review. There were actually 2 reviews. The first one was with the professors so they can grade our work. The second one was later that evening which was held in a small ballroom at the new Student Union building where we could invite friends and family to see all everybody's portfolios.
